In the spectrum of original solo acts, few hit all of the elements like Curtis Harding. While most acts don’t have the staying power that Harding has, his sound on If Words Were Flowers will stick around for days to come. Couple that with his new single “Can’t Hide It” proves that his sound is far ahead of many who convey his seventies sound.
Complete with seventies touches, Harding takes on the song with pure hedonism. His times are stuck up with reworked sounds and strips of power. The chill sound of his song with it’s saucy opening definitely take you by storm. His vocals ring out and take you by the hand while his changes have plenty of mobility to them. The chorus for the song comes quickly and gets your attention while the backing vocals add a punch. His overall impression is a mixture of sexiness and power while his style works on multiple touches. His way here is saucy and full of itself as it should be.
The song can be experienced above or on all streaming platforms. The video can be seen above. His new album If Words Were Flowers is available directly from Anti Records ahead of its November 05 reveal. Curtis Harding is on tour starting February 26 in Madrid, Spain at Sala Cats until March 30 in Dublin, Ireland at Whelan’s. His complete tour schedule can be accessed here.
