Eels Announce New Album & Tour

In the grand spectrum of music, few bands could reveal multiple albums in a year and still never touch on things they did on their first release. However a band like the Eels can display all sorts of sounds when they drop new music. With a new album Extreme Witchcraft coming out in late January, they definitely have a more reserved tonal quality to their sound. Between the adverts and the words of the lead single, their early tone is all over their single “Good Night On Earth” offers the band up with a sound you can’t help but love.

The waning guitar that gets things started has plenty of energy. When the vocals come in they definitely make way for things to get odd a bit. Between the hucks of guitar notes there’s plenty of tones that work together. The words all work together and offer up a possibility for everyone listening. There’s plenty of space here for everyone to breath. When the band comes back in there’s plenty of instrumentation to offer up in their wasted notations. There’s more than enough sound here to offer them up without feeling like you’ve left them out of options. The song is catchy and full of life. There’s definitely a vibe to it all and it works extremely well.

The song is available to hear above or wherever you stream music. Extreme Witchcraft is available for preorder directly from here ahead of its January 28 release date. Eels are on tour starting March 11, 2022 in Belfast, UK at Telegraph Building until May 28, 2022 in Atlanta, GA at Variety Playhouse. Their complete tour schedule is available here.
