In the grand space of new music, serpentwithfeet is an artist that few acts could even shine a light on. His sound has strained itself with very touched moments with a jazzy touch here and there. While his last album Deacon getting all sorts of praise, his music has touched the lives of so many. However with that he has a new EP titled Deacon’s Grove and he takes us with us down his musical path. His latest single “Down Nuh River” offers his sound through a short time frame while delivering his sound in every note.

With soft vocals that dance underneath the music, serpentwithfeet doesn’t wait for us to clue in. He immediately starts with choreographed dance moves and backing vocals. The way the song sounds gives it a new life underneath his powerful vocals. With dance moves that work and emotional touches that hit perfectly, he definitely gives us the song with ease. The song has multiple ties with his last release while still staying clear of it in many ways. It’s a new sound while still tied to his past. It’s also short and sweet which is perfect for the first time listener.

“Down Nuh River” is available to stream above via YouTube. It can also be streamed wherever you stream music. His new EP Deacon’s Grove is available for preorder directly from Secretly Canadian before its November 05th release.
