Beach Fossils Shares New Song Via Piano

For about a month now, Beach Fossils has been teasing their new album The Other Side of Life: Piano Ballads.  On those tracks they’ve revealed more than most bands while still showcasing another side to their already catchy sound. While the new album is out in a few weeks, their new single offers them up with an intensity while still holding the hands of something catchy in the process. That’s why we’re all about “Sleep Apnea (Piano)” and it’s catchy sound. The song taken from their 2013 original hits perfectly here and then some.

The piano that opens the song plays itself into an easy going opening from the band. The way he sings offers things up in a new way without steering you away from its sound. There’s more here than you’d figure out as there’s weight to this track. When the background comes in it adds to the song’s mysterious nature. There’s more here than it may seem which is what makes it so compelling. The easy going sounds that convey the message best are not words but rather a jazzy saxophone that lifts things up. Mix that along with the vocals and you have a winner from start to finish.

The song can be streamed wherever including above via YouTube. The album is ready for preorder from their label Bayonet ahead of it’s November 19 release date. Beach Fossils is on tour starting November 13 in Portland, OR at Polaris Hall until May 22, 2022 in Tlajomulca De Zuniga, Mexico for Valle VFG. Their tour dates can be accessed here.
