In the grand spectrum of music, an artist like Cate Le Bon has plenty of nuance to get new music out into the world. The artist has the sound and the look to gear into our minds and offers delicacies for our ears to enjoy. With her new single “Moderation” coming out, her new album Pompeii should deliver her sound across multiple genres but give you exactly what you want as soon as you hear it.

Opening from the jump, her vocals create a dancey vibe underneath bass and gentle guitar. The myriad of colors that get thrown in here offer themselves up as palette cleansers. Seeing Le Bon singing behind a male body offers her up in a new way as she sings with a dedicated gaze to focus on. The way she delivers words like punishment offers her up as a tortured character. Her movements throughout give us some form of passion throughout the song. Her give and take here is masterful and offers her up in a delectable way that never sends out its words without power flowing from underneath.
