This year hasn’t been the most kind to new artistry. When new music comes out the year has kind of treated it like “whatever.” However for artist Alok, his teaming up with Steve Aoki has always gone well. On their new single “Typical (feat. Lars Martin)” their sound is blissful and unique with a beat that feels like a party unto itself.

The lyrics start from the opening with fingered notes and a catchy pacing. The way the vocals offer a chill vibe while they stare you in the face, the beat comes in and just swells the track. Aoki and Alok both offer up a sound that doesn’t stop dripping whilst giving us more than enough reason to keep the pace going. The vocals by Martin offer up plenty of beat heavy notes and tones. The way the beats offer themselves up with plenty of energy takes your ears off to another place away from the track. Then the song ends before it digs down into the bank and really takes off.
