In music, bands like Foals are so well put together that it’s a shock when they collaborate with anyone. However the band has collaborated again with Flight Facilities and proven that they’re just as game for a remix than anyone thought. On their new remix of the track “Wake Me Up” they prove they have so much more space to get new music out there while turning heads in the process.

The song opens with an expanded beginning ushered by odd sounds and altered vocals. The way the band allows all of this to get changed means that the remix is better than the original in multiple ways. The song has a real up feeling almost like that of a swan song going out to any fan of the band. At times the vocals are distanced and at others they feel really close. However the band is on point from start to finish. There’s very little here that doesn’t sound as if it could just be another single from the band as Flight Facilities does an excellent job of remixing the track.
