Red Hot Chili Peppers Return With New Album & Song

For most of our lives, bands have come and go. Most of those bands have gone and never come back while the Red Hot Chili Peppers have always come back. With their last album coming out The Getaway coming out in 2016, the band has announced a new album titled Unlimited Love coming in April. The band has announced a Summer tour and they’ve revealed a new song titled “Black Summer” that you can hear below.

The song opens with these beautiful noodles of notes with Kiedis singing atop of them. The chill nature of the song has multiple vibes that flow throughout before John Frusciente comes in and really shreds without getting dirty. When the song picks up pace the whole band is in on the jump, with Frusciente tearing up his fret board to get the band there. When Kiedis comes back in with his chill mode the band gets there as well. The band picks things up again and really tears through the song. Riffs and bass plowed by the tread across the drum skins comes in with Kiedis singing above it all. It’s beautiful and it hits home at the same time.

The video can be viewed above or the song can be heard on all streaming platforms. Unlimited Love is available for preorder directly from Warner Records ahead of its April 01 delivery. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are on tour starting June 07 in Barcelona, Spain at Estadi Olimpic until September 18 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX. Their complete tour dates can be accessed here.
