In music certain aspects can come to light and offer a sound that takes you to new spaces. With touches from indie pop to darkened pop touches, 0171 delivers two new songs that are full of pop touches. Mixing together pop tones with edged streams, the duo offer up the two tracks “The Basics Are Coming Back” and “Burnout.” With these songs out it’s time to stream both and get hungry over the music.

With “The Basics Are Coming Back” the beat is on another level. The way the beats stream along with these kept tracks offer a whole new sound structure. The slowed down paths the song holds open things up before taking strides down new paths. The way the song slows to an almost stop to be adorned with new sounds is extraordinary. The song goes down multiple paths and the vocals take on new lives but ultimately deliver on their new sound. The same can be said for track “Burnout.” However here the duo stretches into a more dropped down tone. The beats are fire as they mix together with the vocals. The smooth yet broken beat structure flares throughout and gives you a heightened sense of self that flows underneath. The whole sound is extraordinary in its overall tone that you’re left with two track you can blast for a good while.
