It’s been a while but yesterday we finally got new music from Copenhagen’s Iceage. The new music comes from a song they redid recently titled “All The Junk On The Outskirts” that has a fresh new sound to it. Away from the new song, the band has announced a co-headline tour with the band Earth as well this Fall. Stream their new song below and fall for it’s crisp sounds and tones.
The reimagined guitar noodling at the front of the song offers up a sound that stays with you. The way the vocals come in like a wisp of noise underneath the chaos is magical. The band has definitely rethought the song and added plenty of delicate touches. The background guitar and the backing vocals make for nice touches. The way they approach everything with a touch of swagger leaves a better taste in your mouth. They’ve definitely grown here and returned with a new sound for us all to enjoy.
The new song can be heard above via YouTube or wherever you stream music. The band’s latest album Seek Shelter is available for purchase directly from Mexican Summer. Iceage is on tour starting May 05-07 in Bordeaux, France at Sideral Festival until October 15 at Substation in Seattle, WA. Their tour dates can be accessed here.
