Right now no matter what someone says, you could use some good new music. It might be coming from a stand alone act you’ve never heard of, but it’s always good to hear new stuff. However, this time the new music comes from Wilco.  The band is ready to announce a new album Cruel Country and get the word out on it. To celebrate the news they’re revealing their lead single “Falling Apart (Right Now)” and it’s a real foot stomper to say the least.

The goings of the song have a country twang to it. The demeanor is fun and easy going with the band finding their spaces respectively. The way the music unfolds definitely places your ears a bit apart from normal and gives them plenty of country twang to wriggle in.  The way they approach the song has a real earthy tone while they’re placing the country sounds in for good measure. The end result is a track we can all get behind and snap our fingers to.

Wilco will be on the road starting May 27 at Solid Sound at Mass Moca in North Adams, Ma until August 26 at Martha’s Vineyard Veteran’s Memorial Park in Vineyard Haven, MA.
