For the past couple of years the name Voxtrot has been undermined. The Austin group is known for their beats and guitars playing hard. However since the band broke up the world has changed quite a bit. With streaming services becoming more popular and videos being a bigger deal, the world may have changed but good music is still important. With a new album Cut From the Stone B-Sides & Rarities coming sooner than you’d think, Voxtrot has dropped another song that rocks. Listen to “Fifteen Minutes” below and enjoy every note.
The song has a definite energy that sounds epic in its quick yielded sound. The way the song moves with soft vocals hits your ears perfectly. The mix of vocals and instrumentation make for a sound that doesn’t fall away. The way the band implements these factors leads to a strong vocal chorus with backing vocals. The build there alone leans closer to an orchestral sound with more energy thrown in. The way the song turns out it makes you want to just get up and dance.
You can listen to the song above or wherever you stream music. The track is on their new album is available from bandcamp or wherever you buy music. Voxtrot is on tour starting September 17 at Webster Hall in New York City, NY until November 12 in Austin, TX at The Mohawk. The dates for the tour can be found here.
