In music we often get sent artists who aren’t a big deal yet. It’s part of what keeps us going. But we’d be lying if we said we weren’t impressed recently by the music of Franklin Gothic. There’s just something about how he puts a song together and just leaves a little to desire. His newest single “Slow Down Bang Bang” is off his upcoming Very Jazzed & Pleasure Tapes release Into The Light and it’s a gem.

The video is very odd yet reassuring at the same time. His vocals come in like a soothing healing point that steer you towards calmer times. The images of couples together are freeing and echoing of the music. The knowing of what’s to come would give anyone an epic view if what’s at stake while the video plays out. While it’s sound has a very intuitive sound it’s also like looking ahead at what’s next.
