In music there are acts we like and acts we don’t. Then there are acts we love and there;s a special place in our hearts for those artists. The act we’re talking about here is Tenci. As the artist has announced a new album and released a new single. The album called A Swollen River, A Well Overflowing and the new single titled “Two Cups” is a joyous example of good being great.The video is worth watching below before the album drops November 04 on Keeled Scales.

The song opens with gentle bass being played alongside a loud guitar. Tenci’s voice comes in and crushes the vocals with a weighted sound. The song has various levels of emotion baked into the song. There’s a definite weight in how the music and the words seem to feed off of one another. The sing song nature of the song makes it feel that much more inviting while the band digs deep into their side sounds until they begin singing together.

The song can be heard above or wherever you stream music. The new album is available to preorder from Keeled Scales Records before it’s drop date in October 26. Tenci is on tour starting November 04 at Cactus Club in Milwaukee, WI until November 19 in Sleeping Village in Chicago, IL. Her tour dates can be found here.
