Every once and a while you stumble onto a band and they steal your heart. It doesn’t happen often but when it does it just shapes who you are. The band Skinshape was the latest to do it to us.  The way theyon shape their songs is amazing and full of life. Their new album Nostalgia out on October 28 should be intriguing. His new single “High Tide Storm Rising” is an energy rush you have to get.

The jazz shapes that form easily are amazing. There’s a defined reality to this type of music. If the drums don’t pull you in then the guitar will. There’s something about the beat and the way the notes bend around it. The music is definitely made for someone solo but can be enjoyed by anyone who hears it. It’s very much like a room where Italian food is being prepared, it belongs everywhere.
