In your life you’ll come across bands you can’t help but love. For us, one of those bands is Horsegirl. Their new album Versions of Modern Performance is pretty epic. While that album is already out they decided to drop a cover song to their catalog. They recently covered “History Lesson Part 2” originally by Minutemen. Listen to it below and feel the vibes before catching them when they’re on tour again next year.

The song takes the original head on and breathes new life into it. It sounds like the girls are singing into the own instrumentation here, offering up another option so to speak. The way they do so is a real cover because it has such a similar sound. However Horsegirl figures a way to make the awkwardness of the song disappear and you’re left with the just the music which is the best place to be.
