The Hives Return Stronger Than Ever

It may be hard to believe but it has been ten years since we heard a proper release from The Hives. With that being said the band is back and in a big way. Their new album The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons should be a banger from start to finish. Add to that tour dates and their new song “Bogus Operandi” which rocks in its own right.

The quell of guitars that make up the opening is astonishing. The band sounds like they’re ready to take on the globe with ferocity. The back and forth of the song hits like the vocals hit with intensity. As the members drink warm beverages they start dying and become zombies ready to takeover. They can’t deny this existence while they rock hard in the afterlife. Their energy and in your face sound is back in full force.

The song can be heard above or wherever you stream music. Their new album is available for preorder from the band before it drops on August 11. The Hives are on tour starting May 09 at Troubadour in West Hollywood, US until August 19 at Dalhalla in Rattvik, Sweden. Their dates can be found here.

David Garrick

David Garrick has spent the last five years interviewing some of the most intriguing and engaging artists performing today. Everyone from Angel Olsen to Phoebe Bridgers, Wire to Yo La Tengo, Snail Mail to Soccer Mommy, Ghost to First Aid Kit, The Breeders to Protomartyr, and many more. He's a giant fan of music of pretty much any genre; but especially to the underdogs. He's been known to see more concerts in a week than many people will see in a year.
