As far as new acts sharing new music, there are many new acts worthy of hearing. While Arlo Parks offers up a new song, she’s not the biggest name dropping it. While Parks isn’t the newest act, her sound may not be familiar to all. What she has is a softness with the hard and a sound that covers multiple genres. With a new album coming soon My Soft Machine should hit hard and her new single “Devotion” does so.

The way she opens the song with gentle words is brilliant. The build of power shows up but doesn’t hit hard until later. The way that she flows and sings is amazing as she covers both genres. The passion is lengthy yet stands on it’s own. Parks doesn’t weight her flow with others while giving us plenty to rave about. It works on multiple levels.
