In times that shutter us we can find our way through curiously and cautiously. When a band loses a member we can try to move on but it can be a tough proposition. When Foo Fighters lost their longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins it seemed like it would take a while to replace him. With Josh Freese on the drums now the band has a new album coming June 02 But Here We Are should hit like you want. Their new single “Show Me How” definitely fills a void.
The tones that open the song have a sound we haven’t heard from the Foos lately. The driving sound gives the song plenty of depth. Alongside the dual vocals the song strides it’s own path. However the distorted parts of the song come in and take over. The song has a knowing feel while washing over you like a bath of known facts.
The song can be heard above or wherever you stream music. Their new album But Here We Are can be preordered from the band here before it drops on June 02. The band is on tour starting May 26 at Boston Calling Festival in Boston, MA until November 26 at F1 Grand Prix Event in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Their dates can be found here.
