Bands like The Voidz can kind of operate however they want without anyone saying anything. Their singles typically don’t follow a trend which is what keeps us all guessing. Their latest single “Prophecy of The Dragon” offers a stilted sound to what alt rock is. The end result you can hear below and makes your own mind about it’s sound.

Opening with a basic drumbeat the song quickly morphs into a heavier sounding song. Then the lyrics come in and slow things down. Almost like a demo before things change up again and offer a more spiritual sound. When the guitar comes back in the band seems to find a familiar plane to land upon. The sound is their own and without compromise.

The song can be heard above or wherever you stream music. The Voidz are on tour starting May 29-June 04 at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain until June 14-17 in San Francisco for their residency. Tour dates can be found here.
