By all accounts it had been a while since we heard anything from Blonde Redhead. Taking a much needed break, the trio is back with a new album Sit Down For Dinner due at the end of September. Now the trio has released a new song titled “Melody Experiment” and its whimsical sound is nothing if not engaging.

The easy going nature of the track sets you at ease. The vocals come in like they belonged there the whole time. The saucy evoking approach to songwriting pulls you in with each flavorful note. There’s an innocence here you don’t always hear but it’s there. The song comes in and boils over before you can contain it, which is what they want.

The song can be streamed above or wherever you stream music. The band’s new album Sit Down For Dinner is available for preorder from Section 1 Records before it drops September 29.
