Bands have a tendency to drop songs that excite us. Especially when they have a tour and a new album to support. That’s how it goes for The Hives at least. With a new album The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons coming on August 11 their new single “Rigor Mortis Radio” offers them in the best light before tour.

The drums that open up the song have a group feel to them. The lyrics hit with intensity while the guitar leads things forward. The backing vocals take things further than expected. The two together build things up that take you into a new space that echoes their overall sound and fan base. The song extends their presence in the US and beyond.
