Burial Shares New Single

Artists have figured out new ways to drop new songs and the result is stunning. Splitting a release is one of the new ways. For his new split with Kode9, Burial has a new track out today. The song is expansive and runs over nine minutes long. In fact “Unknown Summer” has all the makings of its own soundtrack. Stream it below before preordering your own copy.

The opening is dense and slightly altered. The way the song offers up more than typical is magical. The way the vocals dance along the sidelines offers things up differently. The groove of the song is gradual yet pops with tones. There’s plenty of subtleties here that scrape past you. The sounds emanate a different feeling than most singles yet it all works.

The song can be streamed above or wherever you stream music. It can also be purchased by fabric, Originals.
