No soundtrack ever worth listening to didn’t have an artist you were surprised by. Even the biggest blockbusters had songs by acts you didn’t expect. On the new Barbie soundtrack Tame Impala drops a new track. As surprising as that is the new song “Journey To The Real World” offers up a sound that’s hard to walk away from. Stream it below before streaming the entire album.

The chill and spacey vibes of the track are offered up with plenty of spacey haze. The vocals come in with a pop sound that elevates you as it plays. There’s a definite tone in how it all works together like its exiting the film. Though the track isn’t long it does have an impact in that it’s vastly different from the usual fare by the artist.
