Usually when we see that an artist covers a song we steer clear of it. It’s just how it goes where we have little interest in what songs make their way into their heads. However when we saw that Soccer Mommy had covered Sheryl Crow, we were glad to cover the song “Soak Up The Sun.” Stream it below to hear for yourself.

The stream of instruments that opens the song are rather inviting. As she offers up the hooks in the opening. Her signature vocals are inviting as the song unfolds. What you get is her voice at its most intriguing. By offering you something you get her singing with purpose. There’s more here the the usual that works for the singer songwriter.
