New music shapes who we are and helps us enjoy the day. New songs make up a large part of who we are. So when Shabazz Palaces announced a new EP we were ecstatic to reveal the details. The new EP Robed In Rareness has a distinct sound that makes it their own. On his latest single “Woke Up In A Dream (feat. Lil Tracy)” captures the rare light in which his music exists.

The sounds that drop from either the mic or the speakers are extraordinary. The vocals take you deep into their world while the beat gets complex at times and mixes up the sound. The chill vibes of the track wash over you like warm water. Then the lyrics invite you into their being and take you to all new places throughout. It’s mesmerizing.

The song can be heard above or wherever you stream music. The new EP is available from Sub Pop Records as a preorder before it drops October 27. Shabazz Palaces is on tour starting September 27 at Tubby’s in Kingston, NY until April 07 in Heroica Guayamas, Mexico at Hard Rock Hotel River Maya. Their dates can be found here.
