New music keeps our engines running. The new songs that come fourth have a bump in one direction of another. For Metric, their new single “Who Would You Be For Me” drops several emotions. With their new album Formentera II dropping on October, the songs sums up a lot of emotions with plenty of kick. The Canadians give you plenty of haze within their sound.

The open ended notes that open the song take you to a new place. The gentle approach afterwards is subtle yet beautiful. The crashing sounds that emit give way to a more seasoned sound. The easy going nature of it plays into a more cheerful vibe. The end result is a song you can hold close while experiencing a new world at the same time.

Metric is on tour starting October 10 in New York, NY at Bowery Ballroom until November 27, 2023 in Santiago, Chile at Teatro Coliseo. Their dates can be found here.
