Big Thief is a band that does what they want and it shadows what they do. With wonderful vocals and plucked strings beneath their sound is definitely that of their own. So when we heard they were dropping a new 7″ we had to hear what was involved. The end result is “Born For Loving You” which is an upbeat tune that showcases their talents and more.

The song starts with an uplifted notation that steers you into the vocals. The way the words hit you in the face offer the song’s pureness in one step. The drums and guitar cross a section that feels like they were meant in that moment. There’s a magic here that reaches out and doesn’t let go. The song feels like a banger that’s been waiting to come out.

The song can be heard above or wherever you stream music.The 7″ version of the song will be made available from 4ad Records on October 20.
