Pop sounds can make or break a band’s sound. For some it’s a surge in popularity with their fan base. For CHAI it’s just who they are. The Japaneses girl group has a very unique sound that’s found all over their new self titled album CHAI coming this Friday. Their new single “GAME” keeps those pop sounds going.

The pop bounds that encircle the song make it catchy and easy to follow. Though the song is sung in Japanese that doesn’t stop the group from rocking out. The gentle keystrokes with tingled beat give the song plenty of pop boost to move forward. The vocals at times sound solo but the overall effect is the love by CHAI is full on force.

The song can be heard above or wherever you stream music. CHAI is available for preorder from Sub Pop Records before it drops on September 22. CHAI is on tour starting September 22 in Garden City, ID at Visual Arts Collective until November 16 at Rough Trade Bristol in Bristol, UK. Their dates can be found here.
