The Judges Play Old School Punk

Catching old school punk is always a treat. The bands that play it are typically older. However with The Judges their new album Judgement Day is quite youthful. However don’t let that dissuade you. The sounds are epic and take you to a new place.

Opening with an instrumental on “Judgement Day” the band takes things to new spaces on “The House Always Wins.” the almost drunken vocals and the twisted guitar sounds give you plenty to think about. The speedy guitar on “Be On The Beach” could have the same feeling. The dual guitars mixed with far off vocals give you plenty to think about. The band has an old school sound. “Who’s Your God” and “Channel Change” take the sound further into the past without it feeling antiquated. Where “Tuned” mixes in pop undertones with it’s overall punk sound the album’s closer “Judges Theme” takes the cake. The old school sound mixed with their thunderous playing gives you the song with thunderous tones. The vocals have that far away sound while giving you more than you can handle.

The album can be heard wherever you stream music or purchased on Bandcamp.
